I have been planning to make a bowtie for my 10 year old son, and was wondering what fabric to use. We go to a very casual church, but my son loves to dress up in a suit and tie. He has some regular ties that he wears, including some of my collectible vintage ties, but he really wants a bowtie. When we shop at a particular thrift store, he always looks through the ties and asks if he can get one of the nasty wedding bowties there. I can't wait to make him one (his birthday is next week).
